If God is good and all-powerful, why does he allow his creatures to suffer pain?
Join your fellow St. Alban’s parishioners as we read through C. S. Lewis’ classic work exploring this question, The Problem of Pain. We will wrestle with Lewis’ attempt to explain the issue, perhaps even disagree with him on points, and through the reading we will learn from and help each other on our own individual Christian paths.
We will meet via Zoom on the second and fourth Monday of every month at 6:30pm, starting April 24, covering two chapters each session (for a total of five sessions). Come prepared to engage in an in-depth conversation on each reading.
Since St. Alban’s is also sponsoring a Wednesday Eastertide series on Lewis and Tolkien’s fantasy fiction this year, this Zoom group may be a great complementary look at one of Lewis’s classic theology texts.
Please note that SPACE IS LIMITED as we are keeping the group small to ensure lively discussion and sharing, so please let us know as soon as possible if you are interested. To learn more and join us, just submit the form below. If you have further questions about how the group works, see Monique Clark, Debbe Heiman, or Kevin Holland at church.
