In consideration of permission for me to voluntarily participate in the Mission Trip, I, for myself, my heirs, personal representatives or assigns, agree to defend, hold harmless, indemnify and release St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, and their officers, employees, agents, representatives, designees and volunteers, from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action of any sort on account of damage to personal property (including delay or irregularity in schedule), personal injury, or death, or acting on my behalf in seeking and/or overseeing emergency treatment and care which may result from my participation in the Mission Trip and shall at his/her own cost and expenses defend any and all actions or suits which may be brought against St. Alban’s, either alone or in conjunction with others, upon any such liability, claim, or claims and shall satisfy, pay and discharge any and all judgments, and fines that may be recovered against the St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in any such action or suit, provided, however that the St. Alban’s shall give to the undersigned written noticed of any such claim or demand. This release includes claims based on the negligence of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, and its officers, employees, agents, and volunteers, but expressly does not include claims based on their intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
I understand that by agreeing to this clause I am releasing claims and giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue.
